FIVB Beach Volley World Tour 2007

I will always rant that we can only catch this on ESPN or Star Sports but coming May the world beach volleyball pairs are heading our town! The China Women Asian gold medalist are gonna play too and of coz our local players went in thru the wildcard. Its gonna be a chill, cheer and cool sat! I have grab my tickets , how abt ya?

Actually this is the 2nd bottle we had , the 1st left over bottle we done it in like 10 min. Kikusui sake, a bit of fruity taste, not very dry and very suitable for the ladies.

This file fish sashimi tasted very sweet and also it complements well with the liver sauce.

Ebi Shinjo Age ($6.80) x 2

This dish is best describe by Gracie ' Even the chilli age taste good'.

Kimi Tai($48)

This snapper is suppose to be out of season perhaps thats why it taste a bit fishy this time round but still as good.

I only rem the mackerel which nicely textured and the flying fish which will make ya fly after devouring it.

Abalone Steak ($60) x 2

The abalone is lightly sauteed with soy and its really one of the sweetest abalone i had ever tasted

This time round the bamboo shoot come with Foie Gra! Who can resist a nicely sauteed Foie Gra and a crunchy sweet bamboo shoot.

Pork Belly ($24) x 2

The best pork belly in town, simmered to perfection and melts in ya mouth. A must order if ya drop by.

Hawa Nigiri ($48) x 2

I didnt get the taste all of it but i love the fish roe best!

As usual I caught this with Min on friday nite, its certainly one of the better play we caught this year so far. It makes me reminisce the time where my mum will bring to me to watch Chinese opera with her at the streets of bugis where my childhood used to be. One thing that touches me was that Mr Koh Boon Teck could blend the love for his mum and his arty passion in this production. There is more to this play which my limited vocabs can comment on.



I can only just say that titoudao is worth catching it, pls do catch it and its running till 31st March. Oh, ya need 80% proficiency in hokkien to truly enjoy it and i believe CAB will have no problem in it.

This year reunion dinner @ Made In China but this year round its much a quieter affair as our chairman 'Chris Png' is still in the french alps with his beau. Nevertheless we still had great fun gossiping abt partners of some, boasting on who always got wasted and waiting for the mystery guest to appear.

I was so hype abt my 1st snowboarding trip on the way there juz like a small kid that i juz realise i didn't take any photos on the day! Oki i was a bit loser after the trip coz i juz told ah zhi tat i couldn't take the cold and feel damn tired and sleepy. I juz knock off from there till we reach his apartment. He got 2 words for me, "BUA KAN". Tmd.

Its snowed at hunter and its the 1st time i see snow and its the only time that snowed during the trip. Its a child hood fantasy that i hope to see snow with someone close to my heart but each time its with ah zhi. tmd. Coz that time in Bali we saw one of the best sun set beach while we were horse riding.

I love road trips, i will juz fiddle with the ipod select tunes which we can sing or shout out loud to, find nostalgic tunes to talk abt, some songs will juz remind ya of diff stages and gals of the life. The silent moments which i will reflect back on my life. The stop over on mackers for honey mustard chicken wraps.

Feb 24th

Back at Camelbak for the last runs of the season and this is where the only encounter I had with an asian opposite gender for the whole of the trip. Its juz only me and her up the ski lift and i broke the ice by asking where she is from. Shes says she's local but resides in Shanghai most of the time and then i start to converse with her in mandarin. She speaks perfect mandarin and she ask which slope will i go , told her tat i am trying out the terrain. She says she heading there too. Cool. We got off the lift and went our separates ways. While queuing up for the lift again after the run, I bump into her again and she says she saw me crashing while attempting the 2nd slope. I tried to impress her by telling her its my only couple of times riding and that i came from sg where there is no snow. But she seems nonchanlant abt it. We were in the same lift again and we chat more this time. The best thing is tat i didnt get her name throughout and her age but i reckon she is 24 years my junior! ha.... regret not taking any pics with her. btw she real cute for her age.

Got an early flight to catch back home and we barely catch a wink before Ah Zhi send me to JFK. Thanks ya Dan for the hospitablity and everything for making this a nice trip for me.

On the way back enroute at Land of rising sun. Cant wait to get back to work and the regular sat beach-volley gang.
